Install Freenas Hp Mediasmart Server Recovery
Canon Copier Pc 775 Manual Muscle. I have an HP MediaSmart EX470 server and today I used my server recovery disk to put my system back into it's original state. Now that the server has been re-formated I thought I could log in via remote desktop but it doesn't look like that's possible. I thought I may be able to access the server via my network to download the connector software but that's not working either (asking for a user/pass).
I can't find my original connector CD so I'm at a loss at what to do right now. The first time that CD is used it runs the setup for the server (to give it a name, username, and password). With that said.
How can I access my recently re-formated server? Is there a default username/password I can use (to either remote desktop to the server or to access the shared folders so I can copy the connector software to my PC) or is there somewhere where I can download the connector software? I've checked on Microsoft's and HP's website and I don't see anything that I can download. Sheekamoo wrote: That's the thing. I never setup the sytem. I used the server restor CD from a client PC to re-format the Home Server back to it'd default settings. After that completes I need to use the connector CD to install the connector software so i can configure the server for the first time.
The problem is, I don't have/can't find that CD. El Jardin De Al Lado Pdf Printer here. So I'm stuck with a server that won't let me log in and no way to setup the server with a login/pass (that I'm aware of anyways). Try logging in to the server desktop (using Remote Desktop Connection).
But from that and onto 'installing FreeNAS on the HDD' is a big leap for me. Looks like the Windows home server OS is dying on my HP Home MediaSmart server. Solved FreeBSD on an HP Home Mediasmart Server.
The user name is Administrator and the password is your server password. From there you can access the WHS console (double click on the WHS Console icon on the desktop) to create a user (make sure the user you create in WHS is the exact same name and password that you use to logon to your client PC).
Grant permissions to the software share for that user account. Then you should be able to connect to the share from the client PC so you can copy and burn the Connector CD. Ken Warren wrote: Sheekamoo, I think you should be able to access your HP MediaSmart Server via the URL That will allow you to download and install the connector. If that doesn't work, then you can download the connector ISO from (you will have to register on Connect and sign up for the Windows Home Server beta program) and burn that as a CD. As (nearly) always Ken is correct. I missed the point you did a reset of the server so there are no users configured. If Ken's suggestion fails and you didn't uninstall the old connector software on your client you could also try running discovery.exe from the folder C: Program Files Windows Home Server.
