Hi All - The DesignJet 500 auto installs and works fine for PDFs and seems to be generally functional. But it is not directly selectable as a printer / plotter in AutoCAD. Does having or not having the HP-GL/2 card bear on any of this at all? Any ideas or assistance would be very much appreciated. I have the HP-GL2 card in mine with the added 128MB or ram. Once you have the card, you can pick up generic ram, but no more than 128MB as I tried larger and it only generates an error code.

I've only done this with Win 7 for the DJ500, although I have the 1050C+ with Win 10 without issue. Not sure but think the HP-GL2 will solve a lot of issues for memory management. Without the HP-GL2 did you go into the driver, click the tab for 'Services' then at the bottom click 'Troubleshooting Menu' then check 'Send job as bitmap (Process in Computer)', probably with none of the other boxes checked.
